Well-Known and Well-Protected

We are delighted to share that R K Dewan & Co. was successful in representing and securing the “Well-Known” trademark status for our client’s marks namely; NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE (NSE), COOPER CORPORATION, EMERSON, T SERIES, SAFE EXPRESS which have been included among a total of 55 marks in the esteemed “List of Well-Known Trade Marks” maintained by the Indian Trade Marks Registry.

The commercial benefits of holding a ‘well known’ trademark are tremendous, providing robust protection against infringement across all classes of goods and services. Once a trademark is declared as ‘well known’, by the Trade Marks Registry, it is bound under the law to not register any trademark that is identical with or similar to the well-known trademark across all classes of goods and services. During infringement proceedings, a well-known trademark can be asserted against defendants dealing in entirely different goods or services.
