Dinesh has been associated with RKD since the year 1990 and currently leads the International Trademark practice at RKD. He joined RKD at the young age of 19 while pursuing his Bachelors Degree and continues to be part of the RKD family even today. Having handled numerous trademark filings, prosecution, licensing, assignment, opposition, cancellation and litigation matters in 150 plus countries, Dinesh has in-depth knowledge and experience of the intricate trademark practices of individual countries. As a trained IPR Professional, Dinesh is also instrumental in RKD’s domestic Trademark Opposition practice for more than 3 decades, and handles drafting and filing of opposition cases before the Indian Trademark Office on behalf of RKD’s 4000 plus domestic and international clients.
Dinesh’s expertise involves advising clients on an array of issues from the global perspective including brand adoption, clearance search and legal opinion, formulating strategies in achieving the best possible protection of trademarks for RKD’s clients across the globe, registration and enforcement of trademarks and handling other contentious trademark disputes globally. He is also experienced in advising clients on general IPR matters with a special focus on trademarks.
Mr. Nair is enrolled with The Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa since 1998. He is a Member of the Bombay Bar Association and INTA.
Passion and Interests
Dinesh’s passion and interests include creative art and painting, reading inspiring books, story writing, photography and listening to soothing music. He has keen interests in researching on traditional and natural ways of health treatment and alternative therapy practices. A long-standing Yoga practitioner over 3 decades, he thrives to achieve and maintain mental, spiritual and physical fitness throughout his life. Dinesh is passionate about the simple pleasures of human life and believes in the amazing powers of Nature. He is attracted to simplicity and intellectual epitome of human personalities. He believes in returning something good back to this wonderful world and helping the underprivileged.
